For a long time, scientists have studied bacteria and the effects they have on toxic waste. They have recently found that bacteria can create electricity and eat toxic chemicals constantly. Desulfitobacteria is known for their ability to breakdown a lot of pollutants including industrial chemicals.

Scientist believe they can clean up polluted waters and at the same time produce electricity, which will be very beneficial to our environment.
