Scientist Reporter
Congratulations, you have the presigious job of reporting on two scientists who have made significant contributions to the fields of physics or chemistry. Follow the steps below to finish your assignment and meet your deadline.

  1. Research two scientists that interest you and have worked in physics or chemistry (no biologists allowed!). Listed below you will find websites that will help with your research.
  2. Write two articles (each article about one scientist) that informs your readers about the scientists. Use Microsoft Word to type up your article. You should include the following information:
    • date and location of birth
    • background on childhood and education
    • contributions made to science
    • circumstances and date of death
    • one picture of either the scientist or to illustrate contribution
  3. As you research and type your article, make sure to save it and any pictures used in a separate folder. Create a new folder on your computer called "Newspaper Project" with your initials after it. Save all Word documents and pictures to the folder for easy transfer of files.
  4. Submit both articles to your editor. If your editor finds any grammatical or spelling errors, make corrections and submit a final copy of both articles by Friday, June 10.
