Cartographer's Assignment

So, you've decided to be the cartographer. Follow the directions below to complete your assignment.

Step One: Fill out the worksheet while you research the history of cartography and the different parts of a map using the following links:

Step Two: Once you have completed your worksheet and learned about cartography, draw a map of the island in the Lord of the Flies. The following pages from the book will help you on your assignment: 7, 10, 12, 26, 29, 56, 61, 104, 105, 110, 116, 117, 148. Your map must include the following locations:

Make sure to draw your map on graph paper so you can use a scale. Draw it first in pencil, to ensure you can erase any mistakes, and then you can go over it in pen. Remember to include all the parts you learned about in your research. Check out your rubric to know how you will be graded.
